How to replace the default Joomla favicon?

  1. In order to replace the default Joomla favicon and to create one of 16x16pix on your own, you need to login to the server via FTP in joomla hosting.
  2. Open the htdocs file under which Joomla was installed. Then go to the templates directory and click on it to open.
  3. Double click on the beez 20 and open it. Next you need to select the favicon that you want to replace with the one you have just created.
  4. Ensure that you have renamed the new favicon file. Select the yes button to replace the new one with the default one.
