How to use Apache mod_rewrite

QHoster.com has installed Apache mod_rewrite on all web hosting servers.
To enable mod_rewrite, it is necessary to add the following in the beginning of the .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine On

After that add the rules for rewriting of links.
